Vacation Disney Essay, Research Paper
Let me help make your vacation planning easier this summer by taking a closer look at
Disneyland and Disney World Resort s for you. When deciding on a major vacation,
many options need to be weighed. When am I going; where am I going; how long will I
be gone for, and most importantly, what will I do while I m their.
You can find information on Disney packages through your travel agent, online,
newspaper travel section, or travel brochures, and magazines. Most of the information
I m going to site for you came from comparing travel magazines; Disneyland Resort, and
Disney World Resort Florida. Both magazines are beautifully colored with Mickey
Mouse appearing on them. Disneyland is celebrating their forty-fifth year of operation, so
they have a large red forty-five on the front cover, with Goofy, Donald Duck, Pluto, and
Minnie Mouse peering around the numbers. The Sleeping Beauty castle is in the
background. A little girl wearing a Mickey Mouse T-shirt, is laughing, while holding
Mickey s hand, in front of the Epcot ball, on the cover of Walt Disney World.
If your vacation destination choices came down to simply experience, then
Disneyland is the winner. They have a sixteen-year head start over the folks at Disney
World. Walt Disney opened the gates to thousands of elated fans in 1955. Walt Disney
World opened their gates in 1971, too more than 45,000 people. Both locations had
beautiful blue skies to welcome their guests smiling faces.
The future is at hand in Disney World. They are celebrating the next millennium.
Epcot is the exhilarating center of the celebration, with stunning entertainment, unique
events, and interactive exhibits. At the end of the day, you can watch Illuminations 2000:
Reflections of Earth, or Fantasmic, an nighttime spectacular that features water, music,
fireworks, lasers, and fire. Although it s not a millennium celebration at Disneyland, they
have Fantasmic also with the finale being the fire-breathing dragon from the animated
cartoon Fantasia. Both parks have: Magic in the Sky, firework shows near closing time,
and if you watch the sky closely enough, you can see Tinkerbell flying overhead.
Disneyland, and Disney World are divided up into seven enchanted lands that lead the
young and young at heart to excitement, romance, fantasy, and fun. Follow Main Street
U.S.A to Frontier Land, Critter Country, Adventure Land, Tomorrow Land, Fantasy
