1q. Write a character sketch for one of the main characters in your book. Be sure to include physical features, personality, statical information and examples of actions or thoughts that show these features.
1a. Character Sketch of Johnny Collins.
Johnny Collins is Tex McCormick?s best friend. Johnny just got a motorcycle for his birthday and wasted a lot of time on it. Johnny has a lot of freckles, and has flame-colored hair. This was unusual for him because the rest of his family was either real dark haired, like his mom, or real blonde haired, like his dad. He also has dark blue eyes like the rest of his family; he said it?s their trademark. He is a daring boy, and very courageous also. One time when Tex and him were ridding on the motorcycle he decided to jump a ditch with both of them on the cycle. He landed it perfect and only Tex fell off. Johnny is also pretty scared of his father, Cole Collins, because he was very strict. Johnny would usually think things through to see if he would get into any trouble with Cole before doing anything.

3q. Write a letter to Dear Abby (or Ann Landers, etc.). Explain the problem(s) one of your book?s main characters faces. Have Abby (or whoever) answer in a manner that you feel would be appropriate for the situation.
3a. Dear Abby,
Dear Abby,
I know two fictional characters that have a problem between them; the older brother sold the younger brother?s horses. The younger brother loved these horses very much, but when he found out that his brother sold the horses he attacked his older brother. There is a lot of tension between these brothers and the fact that their dad left them to raise themselves does not help anything. So after the brothers fight the younger one is banged pretty bad. And I am worried that even after they make up and get things worked out that things will still be bad for the kids.
Sincerely,
Worried
Dear Worried,
Try not to worry about it too much, try to help the kid get his horse back. I would try to contact the dad and tell him to get his act together; these are kids he is leaving behind. I would keep an eye on these kids for a while, because children like this are likely to get mixed up in drugs and crime. If you see the least bit of trouble I would help right away.
Abby
