I believe that the world is on a crash course to destruction and humans are plotting the path. Every day we do little things that destroy a part of the Earth. Every time we make a plastic bottle or tin can that is another little resource that is used up and another non biodegradable thing that will end up in a landfill. How will we live on Earth years from now with all this plastic and other non biodegradable materials piling up around landfills and even along roads and streams? There are three simple ways we can do it. Reduce, reuse, and recycle are the keys to a better future and a sustainable life. First we must reduce the amount of plastic and other non biodegradable products that we use such as pop bottles, tin cans, and plastic bags. When we reduce the amount we use that is less that needs manufactured. Second we must reuse what we have. If we reuse products in imaginative and
innovative ways
around the house then that will be less non biodegradable products going to the landfill to sit. Third we need to recycle. I know recycling may be tedious but it is a great help to the environment in the sense that whatever is non biodegradable is sent back to the company and re-processed. So metal that may have been a beat up old washing machine before may now be recycled as metal in the production as things such as cars or steel girders for buildings or recycling can even turn that old pop bottle you just drank out of into a new one for another liquid to be stored in. When people like you and me start small like reusing plastic bags or recycling cans and bottles it all starts to add up. Today a pop bottle tomorrow non biodegradable refuse in a landfill, unless someone steps in. One can change the things they do today to save the world tomorrow by just remembering and putting into effect these three words: reduce, reuse, and recycle.
