The Bible Teaches many truths about itself.
1. It claims God as its author
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. – 2 Timothy 3:16
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but
holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

2. It claims that it is innerant and infallible
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. ? Psalm 19:7-8
Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His word, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar. ? Proverbs 30:5-6
3. It claims that it is complete
For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. ? Revelation 22:18-19
4. It claims to authoritative

5. It claims to be effective
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. ? Isaiah 55:11
6. It claims to be interpretive
He who is of God hears God?s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God. ? John 8:47
The Bible offers limitless resources and blessings to the believer.
1. It is the source of truth
Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth ? John 17:17
2. It is a source of happiness
But He said,? More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!? ? Luke 11:28
3. It is a sourceof spiritual growth
As newborn babies, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. ? 1 Peter 2:2
4. It is the source of power
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. ? Hebrews 4:12
5. It is the source of guidance
Your word is a lamp to my feet & a light to my path-Psalm 119:105
6. It is the source of comfort
For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. ? Romans 15:4
7. It is the source of perfection

8. It is the source of victory over Satan

Psalm 39:2-3
