Morals
I strongly believe that some acts are morally right and others morally wrong. Though in society today I find many different people with many different opinions on this some issues. The way someone was raised or the experiences they have faced could be what has molded these beliefs. The differences between right and wrong are not always the same in each person’s head and this is where we face controversy. Morals differ from person to person resulting in confrontations dealing with morality issues. Such as euthanasia, human beings should not have to suffer, just as we do not allow animals to suffer. I believe Pro-Choice is morally right. Woman should be given the choice of whether or not she can terminate her pregnancy. On the flip side, I feel cheating is morally wrong, and puts people at an unfair advantage.
The idea of euthanasia is something that elderly people today face almost every day. I believe that it should be up to the human being suffering, whether or not they want to suffer any longer. As people grow old, they become weaker and more dependent on others naturally. Plus adding a fatal sickness to the scenario and things must seem hopeless. Nobody should have to endure such pain and agony just to save their loved ones the pain of letting them go. We do not let an animal suffer to any extent, as soon as things seem hopeless; we put them to sleep. Not that we should kill anyone at the first sign of illness, but there are many elderly people in convalescent homes just waiting for the day their pain will end. And why do we let these people suffer, because we believe it is morally wrong to kill a human being. But in this scenario I believe it is morally right to grant the wishes of the person in agony. I feel when they are put into a convalescent home, and have been treated as much as they can be; that they have served their time and the decision should be up to them.
Woman should be given the choice to do what they wish with their body. Whether it be abortion or having their child. First of all it is not always by the woman choice that they become pregnant. Many times women are raped and unfortunately become pregnant, and in this situation, I do not understand how anyone could say that it is morally wrong for her to terminate the pregnancy. No child wants to be the outcome of a rape victim. Pregnancy could change a person’s life drastically and not always in a positive way. For example, college bound woman sometimes will never make it to college because they have to work full time to take care of their child or they drop out of high school. I believe it is morally wrong for woman to use abortion as a form of bi
I feel cheating is morally wrong in all aspects. Whether it is cheating on a test, cheating on a loved one or cheating just to get ahead of the guy in front of you. Everyone should be given the same opportunities and cheating allows one to move ahead of others in an unfair manner. People are generally trust worthy of others and when someone cheats that trust is gone. There are people who believe cheating is morally right and feel if they can get away with it than why not do it. But I feel these types of people are just selfish and do not care about the efforts others put into things.
There are certain qualities that make some things morally right and others morally wrong. What makes something morally wrong is if it causes someone else pain or puts him or her at a loss. Also if something is not excepted by society it is seen to be morally wrong, where as something morally right is excepted by society. Something is morally right if in the process of this act no one is hurt or put at a loss. Or a person’s life or way of living is enhanced by this act.
Some believe that the idea that some things are morally right and others morally wrong is incorrect. By this they mean that things are not decided by society what is wrong and what is right, but by the person they. People have different morals and values and society has no way of controlling this. As one person may think stealing is morally right where as another may think it is morally wrong. But it does not matter because it is what society accepts, as the norm that will decide which is morally right. If someone is careless enough to leave something out in the open to be stolen then why should that person not steal it? As the other person believes one should earn what they receive, and should have to use hard-earned cash to buy what they wish to have. The idea of things being morally right or wrong is accepted by society because of its simplicity. Things are either morally right or morally wrong and no one has to deal with individual beliefs.
I feel certain things are morally right and others morally wrong. As a society we have accepted the idea of this cut and dry way of thinking. When harm is done to an individual it is seen as morally wrong. When something is done to enhance a person’s life then this act is seen as morally right. The way people think is different from one another but the general idea of our way of thinking is the same. One is allowed their opinion and way of thinking but is not allowed the right to do harm to others; this is seen as morally wrong in our society.
