In the second part of the movie, we not only see General Patton’s personality, but the way he treats the military personnel. When he entered the barracks, he gave strict rules and guidelines to follow to the soldiers. They should not have any pictures nor decorations hanging on the wall as it could be a distraction in the future. Then, he enters the hospital, where he told the doctor to literally “dump” the people who were in serious injury. He stated that the fatigued people could not fight in his army. To Colonel Patton, it is crucial to wear a helmet. “Everywhere you go is a hard-hat area” is a quote that seems to revolve around him since we could be caught up into a surprise attack or war at anytime.
