Digestive System
The digestive system is the the group of organs that changes food to
carbohydrates, fats, and proteins and used by our body. Digestion takes
places begins form our mouth and ends with our anus. the function of our
digestion system are to ingest food, digest into nutrients, cross our plasma
mambranes, absorb nutrients and eliminate indigestible remains. our stomach
is our main organ because it mixes the food and breaks down into unis tha
can be taken into carbohydrates, fats and proteins which can be used by our
body.
There are different parts of main organs of our digestive system, esophagus,
stomach, large intestines, small intestine, liver, pancrea and finally our
anus. As our digestion begins in our mouth, the food is cut an dchopped by
our teeth. Our tongue helps mix the food with saliva so it can be swallowed
easily. From our mouth, the food is swalllowed into a transportube called
esophagus. Esophagus actually carried food to our stomach, through before
that there is a flap called epiglottis which is an air passage and the food
passage in the pharynx. when you swallow, the air passage will
automatically blocked by itself so the food won’t enter the esophagus though
our air way.
Our stomach is shaped as a J- shaped organs, when food is present, the
stomach will mixing food with gastric juice, after that it will churns food
into a liquid called chyme, and it will leaves the stomach enters the small
intestine. the small intestine is a longest part of our digestive tract of
human. food remains in the small intestine for several hours. Two lasrge
galnds are the liver and the pancreas, which connect with the small
intestine by ducts or tubes. Fluid from the ancreas is called pancreatic
juice. fluid from the liver is called bile. bile is stored in the
gallblader helps digest carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Inside the small
intestine, there’s a lot of fingerlike folds called vili. the digested food
is passed through the cell membranes of the villi into the blood, which cary
it to cells. The body can then use the food for energy and growth.
Material now form small intestine passed into the large ntestine. the large
intestine is made up of ascending colon, the transverse colon, an dthe
descending colon. Here most of the water that was mixed with the food is
removed through the walls of the large intestine. the waste is turned into
solids that are passed form the body by excretion.
Our body requires three major classesof maronutrition which are
carbohydrate, protein and fat. miconutrition such as vitamins and minerals
also nessary for optimum cellular metabolisim. Now aday, there are more and
more people become interested in eating for good health. A diet is a natural
supplemented by vitamins minerals and health food. all natural foods such
as vegetables, fruits, nuts, grains, eggs milk, seafood, and meat. The
variety of nutrition ensures many nutrients are need for all body processes.
Several nutritional studiesthat a result of imbalance diet which may cause
into diseases, illneses and cancer. Therefore, a good diet plan is
important. A good dietary recomendations is go by the food guide pyramid-a
guide to daily food choices. An ideal diet include grains, fruits and
vegetables in the diet. meats and dairy proucts are needed in limited and
at last fats, sweets and oils product. Most of the time, a vegetarian diet
is recommended because vegetables and fruits contains fiber, vitamins and
mineral.
One of the maronutrient is carbohydrates. Cabohydrates are digested to
simple sugar and converted to glucose. Glucose is stored by the liver. To
reduce cabohydrats: 1. eat fewer sugar, 2. eat fresh food instead of canned
fruit with syrup.
Second important maronutrient is protein. Food in protein include meat,
fish , dairy product, nuts……most of our strutural proteins found in
muscles, skin, hair and nails.
Third is fat. Fat and cholesterol are both lipids. Fat is not just found
in buttle or oil, it can also flund in animals protein. Sometimes we have
to be very careful of what we eat, although fat is needed in our human body
but it could be also increase the risk of colon, pancreative cancer. Here
are some dietary to reduce fat, limit your intake of oil and butter, remove
skin from poultry, eat non-fat or low fat food and use stream, broil or bake
rather then fry.
I think being eating regularly and healthy is important. we should follow
the pyramid guide to follow what we need everyday for nutrition.
