II. Common Conflicts
This section will discuss common conflicts that arise in groups. We will pay particular attention to conflicts that we believe are likely to occur in our group based on our perception of the dynamics of our group. IV. Explicit & Implicit Group Rules
This subtopic will discuss the various rules that will be used, and are already being used, by our group. Included in the discussion will be the rules set forth by the University, the guidelines set forth in the Study Group Handbook, and the informal, unwritten agreements made within the group. Additionally, we will discuss how these rules can lead to conflicts, especially in the case of the latter set of rules. We will also discuss how these rules will facilitate conflict resolution, with some attention paid to the consequences associated with breaking them.
V. The Decision-Making Process
In this section, we will discuss the group decision-making process, since this is an area particularly prone to conflict. We will discuss the steps used in the decision-making process. We will also provide situations in which group decisions can be or have been made without conflict, and in which conflict does arise or has arisen. We will then analyze these situations in terms of conflict resolution.
VI. Conclusion
In the conclusion, we will restate the topic of the paper. We will tie in the above subtopics of common conflicts, roles, rules, and the decision-making process with the topic and with each other.
